NL: Borst Bloembollen introduces new tulip varieties

Every year Borst Bloembollen introduces several new varieties. However, a lot of time goes by before this happens. Before a tulip is given a name, a period of 10 to 15 years of development has passed. For the coming weeks, four varieties are exclusively available at Borst Bloembollen.

Borst Bloembollen introduces no less than three fringed varieties. The fringed Neglige variety is special because of its light, almost white colour and pink edge. With a little imagination you can understand why the Neglige is named after a seductive nightgown. A tulip full of tenderness and softness. Mercure is a dark pink tulip with a yellow edge, a striking contrast that will not go unnoticed when this tulip blooms in a vase. The third fringed variety is the striking dark purple tulip San Luiz. A bit mysterious but a beautiful new variety that radiates power. Besides the three fringed novelties, a parakeet-like tulip is introduced called Dee Jay Parrot with a striped effect of cheerful red and yellow colours in the flower.
