CHERRY BLOSSOM FLOWER

CHERRY BLOSSOM FLOWER

One of most girls’ dreams, specifically those who have not witnessed the blooming and falling of cherry blossoms, is to walk under the cherry blossoms. A cherry blossom or the Japanese cherry which is also dubbed as “sakura” is believed to be a native to the Himalayas. It grows in temperate zones of the Northern Hemisphere like Europe, West Siberia, India, China, Korea, Japan, Canada and the United States. It is the national flower of Japan.

While other cherry blossom trees produce fruit cherries, most of its kind merely serves for ornamental use. These are about other Prunus trees including the almond, peach, plum, and apricot. During the spring season in Japan, cherry blossoms are of great beauty. Japan and the US celebrate the festival once the spring comes. Cherry blossoms mostly come in white and pink.
